t -1 day
Laatste dag voordat we vertrekken.
De kalmte van de afgelopen dagen heeft plaats gemaakt voor een mix van enthousiasme, koffers pakken stress en ad hoc acties.
Lobbes, onze hond, zal in de eerste week bij mijn ouders lijven. Daarna komt hij naar huis waar hij door Math, Diana's vader, verzorgd zal worden.
Deze tijd morgen zitten we in het vliegtuig vanuit Amsterdam op weg naar Chicago.
Bij het inchecken vanochtend had, to mijn verassing, KLM een mooie aanbieding om naar Business Class te upgraden; 80% korting op de normale upgrade fee. Lekker. Wellicht dat KLM mij als frequent flyer mist, of zo :-)

Last day before our journey begins.
The calmness of the past days has changed to a mix of enthousiasm, suitcase-packing-stress and last minute actions.
Lobbes, our dog, will go to my parents for the first week, then he'll come home and Math, Diana's father, will take care of him.
At this time tomorrow, we'll be in the air, heading from Amsterdam to Chicago.
Luckily for us, KLM had a nice offer for an upgrade to Business Class; 80% off the normal upgrade fee. Nice. I guess KLM missed me as a frequent flyer or so :-)
We'll be on the upper deck of the B747 'Jumbo', row 77 seats A & B.
